The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Actor for Bentham in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a adored, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
Netflix announced recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that character reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the initial comic and cartoon version.
The new cast member is joined by a number of recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, such as chief the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Though this character is a key figure of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Considering season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the role. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
