Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
