Recent details have emerged about the shocking passing of acclaimed director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their residence residence on Sunday.

The Discovery

As detailed in an account citing a person close to the family, a therapist scheduled for an session initially became concerned after failing to get inside the residence. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Afterward, first responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

Authorities have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, as well as the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is now being held without bail.

The anonymous source questioned several earlier details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a guesthouse on the estate, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that time.

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the family home. He was due to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not been medically cleared and would not be present until no sooner than Wednesday.
